Elizabeth Ockford - Artist and Designer

Elizabeth Ockford is a highly talented and creative artist with infectious energy and enthusiasm. Her informed and intuitive take on developments in the contemporarty Art and Design markets, allows her to endulge in a diverse range of applications and broad subject matter. She works with images that relate closely to her childhood memories, and which demonstrate her love of colour and mark making.

 

During a 13 year period with leading wallpaper and fabric designers Osborne and Little Plc, Elizabeth was instrumental in consolidating its position at the forefront of British textile design. In the early 90's she worked with both fabric and wallpaper manufacturers to develop new printing techniques that have now been taken up across the industry. She designed many of the companies best-selling designs, and spearheaded the return of patterned wallpaper to the market in the early 2000’s. Appointed as Design Director (2002-2004) Elizabeth was responsible for refreshing the overall image of the Osborne & Little and Liberty Furnishings brands.

 

Having trained in Textile Design at Chelsea School of Art, she is currently studying for a Masters at Camberwell School of Art, part of the London Institute and has recently completed a BA Hons in Fine Art Print at the University of Brighton. Comercially she also runs EO&CO as a designer and consultant for the textiles industry.

 

EO&CO produces art and design work to commission for a variety of clients, both for private and commercial markets. Recent clients include; Interior Designer Nina Campbell, Mulberry Furnishings, Kevin McCloud and the Lighthouse Primary School, Falmouth, Threads, G P and Baker and Project Art in London. Private Commissions have been undertaken for properties in England, Spain and Italy.
